    Why do the developers just add and change things without ever asking the players what they want?

    Ahoy,

    The developers change the game to how they think it'll be the best experience for the players.

    In the update and idea pool, you can suggest updates you want to see, I read every post on the forum, along with other board team members, nothing is missed. Ideas which benefit all players from level 1 to 20 are most likely to be added.

    They are informed by the moderation team of what you guys want, so the more ideas you give us, the more likely you are to see them :)

    The game is interesting to different people in different ways, they cant please everyone. They used to release updates to the beta server first and people vote to see if it would be introduced to the rest of the servers. I am not sure if this is still done, they have to try and keep the game interesting
