One more way to reward hard-workers is to increase the drop chance every time a player defeats the final boss and doesn't get the drop and when he does get the drop the chance is reset to original value( Much like how stuff works in EDIT with bashes, evasions etc.).

I like this suggestion for MF as it sets a fine goal to aim for. Not that idiotic ring lvl 2. Now its total randomness when it comes to uniques. Some good uniques should be acquirable after working for hundreds of hours.

I also think those MF portals should be removed. They make no sense.

This actually could be a good way to retribute the player's efforts and to get rid of the "only the luckiest persons have those uniques" thing.

I mentioned before in another post that sets like the Temple Guardian or the Corruption one are pretty much non existant as complete sets, one of my friends told me he has killed Balor more than 200 times and he got 0 uniques, which is ridiculous, a ridiculous waste of time, resources and effort to get nothing, that's the kind of thing that makes a person think about dropping the game.

Personally I like all the PW sets so far and would love to try all of them and see which one I can incorporate to my playstyle, but given the actual drop rate and the crafting method they use, the level cap is going to be 100 by the time I get all of them, or they are going to be useless by that point, again, just like the corruption and temple guardian sets.

I remember that suggestion being quoted by Greg in a Twitch stream some months ago, but it went just as far as a quote it seems, I'd love to see something like that implemented to the PW and bosses like Balor.

All in all, be it taking this smart suggestion or being it some other way they need to adress the lousy drop rate of unique items and the ridiculous posibilities we have to get them, it'll be a grind, maybe a long long grind, but we'd be 100% sure that we would get what we want by the end of the road.

This is not that bad of an idea. The biggest problem for me is that some players get unique items after few boss kills and some need 100+ kills to get it :(

I wouldn't mind a sort of stepped probability... each time you kill the boss and don't get a unique, the odds of getting it next time improve until you get one and the odds are all reset to 0. For an example of the math that I'm referring to (with some variations) check out this wiki page for another game many of us nerds enjoy.

I like the idea of a separating the qualifier based on which level you choose. 100 kills in painful should get you painful rewards. Sam with T2 and T3.

Originally when they talked about crafting for higher levels, I thought that they may do it the way they do with Dragan. Get 4 items, craft to a higher level. Of course that simply benefits players, so that couldn't happen.

I also thought they may make the drops scale like the tiers. T1 gets you T1 items, T2 gets T2 items, etc. Of course that would also benefit players too much and provide a reason for us to farm these harder maps.

I totally agree with this idea. I cannot get even a single unique from the bosses due to the RNG. Why not just put them in the store? Cloaked wrath: 100k Frags or something?

So far I have not had any luck with the uniques. Bigpoint is also out of luck as I am not buying premium untill the issue is resolved.

    Cheers,

    Elve.

I really like this two steps idea, here's how I would do it, tell me if it's in line with your view:

"1. Qualify to purchase the item through number of kills."

-At what level is this function available?
I would say that is available only once you can access every PW's tier, so level 50.
-Is this function already unlocked or do I have to do something to unlock it?
To underline the fact that this is an end-game function, I would say that it's unlocked when you complete every PW's quest.
-Should only tier 3 items be sold?
I think all tiers should be sold, this way it can be helpful if someone already has tier 1 or 2 items and is looking for more of them to craft a tier 3 one.
-How many kills for each tier?
Since it's something that should require a lot of time, I would say not less than 1500 kills for tier 1, 750 for tier 2 and 375 for tier 3.
-Kills are time restricted? Es. 100 kills within a month or the counter goes back to zero.
I would prefer that kills would not be time restricted.
-To qualify for tier 3 item, do I have to qualify first for tier 1 and 2?
I'm not really sure about this one, most players would just qualify for tier 3 making it maybe too easy to get those uniques, but having to qualify for the previous tier in order to unlock the other one could take too long.
-If after qualifying for any tier I buy an item of that tier, do I have to qualify again if I want to buy the same item of the same tier again?
It really depends on the number of kills needed to qualify for that particular tier, if it's high it would be better to qualify once and for all, if it's low, it would be better to need again to qualify.
-Is it better to qualify for tiers together or separately for each tier?
In the first case it would go like x tier 1 kills + x tier 2 kills + x tier 3 kills, but I would prefer the second option.
    EDIT:
Thinking again, being able to qualify separately could lead to farm the boss only in the easiest mode, and then craft all the tier 1 uniques, so players could get tier 3 items without having fought tier 3 bosses.
-When I qualify for a certain boss, do I get to buy all his uniques or just one of them?
I would say all his uniques.

"2. Obtain enough currency to purchase an item."
-How much currency for each tier?
I would say not less than 30k fragments for tier 1, 120k fragments for tier 2 and 480k fragments for tier 3.
-How many times I can buy the same unique of the same tier?
Since the amount of fragments needed I doubt anybody would abuse this system to get glyphes of power, so even tier 3 items should be obtainable many times, this way, when the cap level will increase you'd still have a chance to buy the items you need.

I can't think at the moment of other questions or any way this system could be abused and I apologize for possible mistakes (english's not my mother tongue). I also want to thank BigPapa for sharing such a brilliant idea :D
