There is always a space ... one tiny door can lead to new maps.

The door must be exactly the same as all the other doors. Meaning we we will get Lor' Tac as q6 (no idea why oob is not q6, anyways).
There must be no distinction between the door, because Lor' Tac is no special/different place, its just new continent, the same as the other maps. They have to take open a new door in the level design tool/3D modeling software. Now that I think about it, its not that much time consuming.

Not necessarily ... imagine a small door that leads to similar urban area.

But then (as a strict logical person) I would ask, why q1-5 have this kind of door, but Lor' Tac PW dungeons have different type of door?
Where Lor' Tac is no different than any other map.

You are asking for logic in this game? :D
I was talking about a door that is leading to "clone city" ... where instead of q1-q6 ... there would be entrances to q7-qn.
The pattern would be the same.

And we already know that one of the few things that is done right in this game is the graphics and level design. Those people are way more competent than the feature programmers. If they ever feel like expanding that hub, it shouldn't take them too long to redesign the city to accommodate. Add a set of stairs on either end near Q1 and Q5 and use that to take you up to a second tier overlooking the first and ta-da, you have room for 5-6 more portals. And that is just the simplest solution I could think of in 30 seconds. In fact, what is to say that they haven't already designed it, but have is held at the size it is now because that is all they need?

I mean think about how many times they've revamped Slifmoor. That place has gone through 2 major revisions (3 versions) and various minor tweaks in the past 6-12 months. Then there is Crypts... also undergone significant modifications. And Kings Hill... They tweaked that one after the second "Defend" event to show battle damage and have since tweaked it again now that the "repairs" are complete, and that doesn't even count the various other changes they have done in KH over the years.

My point is, you all are making a big deal about something that, when it becomes relevant, won't be a big deal in the slightest. I'm more worried about them implementing the difficulty right in LorTac based PWs or offering worthwhile rewards than how they might expand the hub.

I wouldn't say that ... they are only using newer technologies that is why people think they made improvement with the graphics.
Use the same picture with few different technologies and you would get few different outcomes.

Level design done good? How many times have you bumped into that rock? How many times you thought you could walk over here or jump to there but everything was just a border or hardly scripted heights? How many times you had to go to that dead end corridor just so you can get back on the main path after you cleared it?
Look at PW hub. Everything is positioned right in the middle. Shops, repairs, stash, gem NPC, even the players. No spacial positioning whatsoever. You come out of the portal and you have no other choice but to run through the lag, forcing me to freeze my PC voluntarily. Great level design.

Often... but it is still better than the regular train wrecks that they call releases, and they are usually fixed rather quickly compared to other bugs.

And the lag is more computer driven than design driven. I rarely have graphical based lag. The one time I can think of that I did was when I was messing around with the quest bug in CoD where you could click the podium multiple times and get the skull back again and again and again. It didn't start lagging until I had about 300+ on the screen and hit "CTRL" and the game attempted to render all of the names.

Not everyone have a monster PC. It's the level designer responsibility to pull of a map where player routes and player clustering are evenly distributed on the map. Another issue is that you completely mask the NPC models. That's because everyone is staying right in 100x100 pixels area. Everything you need is there. When 100 players are right in that center, you don't really search the NPC or look for the 3D model, you intuitively click it, you cannot see it anyways.
So a map must favor everyone's PC, also avoid masking the good graphical models by allowing huge groups of people to manifest such small areas.
I love when I just log in and most of the players are still loading, rendering them 'transparent'... everything runs so smoothly !

This specific issue might be happening only in PW for now. But imagine if we had collision detection in the cities, it sure wont be fun.
So you are implementing a bad level, just to be a burden for some future mechanic. The programming dep. are experiencing just that, due to bad architecture.

That is why we don't... they got that right at least.

Collision detection was one of the main reasons why I left the 2 previous games I used to play, I'm glad that they got that right indeed.

I am using a Surface Pro 3 to play, which does not even have discrete graphics, only CPU-integrated, and I always play at 1920X1080 resolution. That about as terrible as it gets for gaming. I rarely ever experience graphics-related lags, except a few times in boss fights when there are a dozen meteors and another dozen spells and skills flying all over the place.

If you are having graphics-related lags, then your PC is terribly old or there is a software issue. Perhaps try updating your drivers or Java. Or maybe just reduce the quality settings. Getting rid of the shadows was all that it took for Intel's integrated graphics to cope with the game for me.

It's possible to not be graphics related, it happens when you are out of the many-objects-area and when you enter in. Everything freezes for half a second. I think you have this issue too. I believe it's code optimization issue.

PS: Haven't you noticed I'm experienced enough to know about graphics settings or driver updates? :D

For DSO ... the CPU is more important than a GPU.
DSO is one of the few games that are using more of a 60% out of my CPU.

That belt is a weak. The 2H is decent. Overall, not a set I would bother farming.

Oh :(... thought they'd make these sets so you could potentially equip them all at once. Could've been a fun idea.

Wow... props for the amazing originality of the 2H's name *facepalm*. However, the set looks pretty cool.
