    Hi,

in our german forum someone had the idea for title like "noob". In the PvP one is often called a noob, just because the enemie lost the match. So if one bear the title "noob" this would ridicule such insults. Unfortunately the moderator said, that this idea would never be introduced, because (in german) "noob" is used as a insult.

What do you think about such a title? Ofc other titles in such a ironic way are possible as well.

In the hope, that the english moderators will treat this idea in a better way,
    Tobix1006

*edit:* The moderator wants me to add, that he would agree the title "newbie".

The word "noob" is not a German word.
This word is not insulting in any language ... only a noob would be insulted if calling him a noob.

I know, that "noob" isn't a german word, but in games it's also used in german.
Well, many players are offended at this word. In the german forum there are often topics like "pls remove emotes in pvp" because of the laught-emote. So not everyone is as hardened as you.

It used to be "Sticks and Stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me."

Today some people are always offended or get their little feelings hurt by something.

    Nice idea.
Turning the ultimate insult into an amazing compliment :p
Might stop players calling one another noob but soon people will come up with a new name anyways.

There are classifications for the lowest ranks in many institutions. Buck private, newbie, probie (probationary), rookie, plebe, etc. Generally it indicates a new person with limited resources and responsibilities. No harm there, we don't get to start by being fleet commander.

That being said, there are also some intensely anti-social "games" that start with words. If you can harass and insult, you can dominate. If you can dominate, you can manipulate. If you can manipulate, you can control. And what you can control, you can abuse and kill.
Paranoia is an unreal fear. There are plenty of real monsters and dangers. The anti-social and the mentally ill play by other rules.

Fools know what they can do. Wisdom teaches what you should do. Be wise.

How about titles like "DSO Dev" or "BP Exec"?

You are consern about "noob" from one that lost in PvP :)))))))))))

That is the lowest insult I heard. Wait till you find "great" player who find million ways to write swearwords to you or your mother or your fimale part of family :))))).

You will also find trolers, liers, pleasers and all other sort of #"%!"& trying to win PvP simply with chat. Few days ago I fight duel with one who starts with: "Please, Im at 586/600 wins". Do I need to say that it took me 2 x 15 sec to kill him?
