    quick message to let you know that I will be here tomorrow answering questions and doing some editing. Remember that this thread is less heavily moderated than other parts of the forums but this does not grant you the right to underscore your opinion with marinated discourtesies. But I will do answer to this:



    I personally do not have any problem about the Wikia being so popular. Have I ever complained about it? On the contrary, I consider it a very valuable source of help/info for players! I do not believe it clashes with these boards and I cherish the fact that is so well kept and people help each other there, not only via the articles but also on the comment section. On a personal level I also believe that some things should not be handled to players that immediately, all chewed-up (but we can agree to disagree in this point, sir, and I am aware some information pieces are more important than others). I mean, we would like to keep some kind of mystery or surprise element in the air (and no, I am not referring here to the detection of new bugs). There is something lively by letting you guys discover, say, stats of items, or Easter-eggs, without a prior message from us. I enjoy seeing the community sharing information in that way. But this does not mean we cannot get better ourselves at communicating things, I'd give you that.

    Are there any plans to fix the issues in 1vs1 pvp, with the skills cool down still on from the last round, this happend to me like 4 times today alone! and it cost me to lose some of the matches since I could not use dragon hide!

    Hi Haruki,

    Of all the negative opinions that are on this thread, mine gets called out for being discourteous? The game has an an item database and a beastiary... these could be uploaded on this website, a DSO wiki. Without it we have to get such information elsewhere. Those players that want items to be a mystery can choose to not google this. Maybe I proposed this idea in a poor tone.

    I will try to be more patient in the future if questions get ignored. My apologies.

    Hi Haruki,
    why the warriors lost overall 4 skills when time is over in PvP 1v1 , 3v3?
    For example 10 points for his 33% heal skill,or draganskin u cant heal on people when time is over,
    the new regeneration skill not work too.
    Its pretty unfair what u doing all other classes can still use all of their skills.

    Yeah... if it takes me for example 4 years to farm for royal dmg and speed gems, it will take me another 8 years to upgrade them to the alien level :D... and that's if I farm like a slave everyday from 9 to 5 like in a job
    After a certain level it becomes impossible
    And if you buy them... well I think 1 alien speed / dmg gem will cost 400-600 euros :O (or more... I'm too lazy to do the math right now)

    Hey Haruki,

    why did you change the little, transparent group menu to a big, non-transparent ? I don't get the point of this change, because at the same time u tell us u can't move the golden clovers or the matery fragments to the currency bar because it would take to much place.

    Sry but for me that seems completely pointless.

    Yeah. Instead of implementing full screen mode to hide everything, locking the hud, they fill the screen with more and more useless junk. Plus spent Dev time on a feature with negative business value... their product owner sutely deserves some punishment)

    Hi Haruki,
    Just wondering, there are new difficulties of the PW in 159, Excruciating and Fatal difficulties have a minimum level 50 requirement, so whats the point in making an increase for the experience point gain when playing in higher difficulties.

    Hope you are doing well, Long time. I had to take a break for some personal reasons but I am back playing now. I see a few changes have taken place.

    Lovely changes I agree and the PW's drop rates everything is looking better. 159 will make it even better I know.

    Coming to my question.

    PvP is still a mess. Does the team plan to dedicate 3-5 months to just pvp after your roadmap till Feb is done and dusted and do something about it?

    I cant speak for other classes in detail, but I see the DK is still the punching bag in the arena, what is going on with it?

    1> You nerfed all that a DK was in 155.
    2> You created a monster survivor with the rest of the latest releases. I agree unfair for all players who use skills to play and survive.
    3> You took away its survival skills in exhaustion. Wonderful Decision I agree.

    However. It takes us back to the point where the only thing that a DK has gained since the fantastic release 155 is a bit more defense which is comparable to the defense of other classes. A bit more offence which is effectively incomparable to the offence of other classes.

    Now DK's in pvp:
    1> Cannot use infinite regen to survive.
    2> Do not have adequate damage to take down other classes in even head to head melee.
    3> being a top notch pvp'er cannot use 2h as a viable option against other top notch pvp'ers from other classes because effective damage delivered against other classes(specially SM's and rangers) is not enuf to take down their newfound defence and skills even with more damage than the opponent. This is true because of the damage delivery system of different classes and the nerf on the speed of 2h weapons. 2h SM's are much more viable now in PVP.
    4> in 5v5 any other setup other than flag runner setup and flag stander setup is useless.
    5> In any duel where the other player is determined to make use of healing and running setup, the dk cannot take that player down.This is specially true against a SM and Lifekeeper DK nowadays. SM because of the turret system. This wont be removed with 159 because just at 00.01 before exhaustion, those players will take a pot which will refill their hp bar. Even if the other DK takes a pot at that time, the diff in damage after exhaustion will Always ensure the SM wins even with lower HP than the DK. If its a damage dk or a balanced dk against a "full tank and run mode " dk then also the balanced dk cant do anything because he has insufficient skills to stop the other dk and deliver enough damage and kill before the other dk runs off again and trust me, that is a very difficult process to repeat regularly against a proficient runner.
    If you want to check data. see all the data you need since 155. The damage dealt by other classes is much more than the damage dealt by a DK 98% of the time in more or less equal category PVP. You can even check 2h usage PVP data(if you can check that) the result will be same. 2% are the dk's with very special items/low level extinct items.
    Also check the data of DKs with balanced setup against DK's with Lifekeepers or high defence and run mode dks.


    Again, I am not asking to nerf other classes. All I ask that Drakensang Online Team take a clear stand on the DK.
    The DK has suffered the most nerfing and the most adjustments in this game. The team, not to spend "useless time", thinking their original work was in the right direction introduced an item which was basically a exploit item of the system. Then everything after that has been in response to nerf that item. Even shield stats. Do you think DK's havent noticed the "block rate" enchantment almost disappearing from this game. Is that also a direction the team is taking? The new full moon shield, the new shields. The best unique shield DK's can see these days are 75% increased block rate shields and calling that a "good shield". I am sure the day is not far away when suddenly the old full moon shield will stop completely or become as low a drop rate as the first ammons set.

    I have studied how the team is handling the DK very closely for a long time now. If the team thinks they can make the DK a high defence character with minimum healing and damage, it wont work mainly because all classes now are high def with extraordinary damage skills. While the DK is just that: A Punching Bag.

    This is from the point of view of a DK who wants to enjoy this game via skilled gameplay and mechanics. I am sure other classes can relate to some of the things mentioned above as well. Its not as if the rangers dont face the same problem from SM's or mages dont receive some problems from rangers or Steam Mechs from some class or the other.

    However that is what is called unbalanced. DK's are just on the lower side of the spectrum now. I have seen a player called Sebastian say he now has accepted that mages are not for duels. Why should he? Is there a single top ranked MMORPG/ARPG out there that makes a character that is practically useful in only 1 form of combat or only 1 form of farming?

    That is why the PVP system needs undivided attention from a experienced and capable team who would be able to deliver a acceptable system and are capable of living upto the PVP expectations of players. Here experienced means experienced in making PVP systems, not just games. This is not an insult to the current developers.
    This is just honest truth from an endgame DK player who has no qualms to lose. But what he does not find right is the reason for his losses.

    I would appreciate if this matter would be taken Very Seriously and looked into as a priority from the beginning of the new year.

    Very well said Shil. It's ashame; there was a buzz about the new guild battle pvp that has died because the general population is not very enthusiastic about PVP right now. Its the same 10-15 die hard folks that live breathe and die for PVP and a handfull of fillers that rotate through. If you pvp for more than half an hour you will see the same names over and over and over because the interest in doing it is low. The general population just would rather do something else that feels benificial without the frustration.

    I'm a ranger but I agree with shila. Tanks have become punching bags. And at the same time, pvp is very annoying for all classes. I feel so annoyed when I put on max defense build and I get 1-2 shotted by mages with 2h and new skill, other rangers with ES or dwarves with their "spawn and then run around" turrets

    Maybe you would be more successful explaining them the lifekeeper shouldn't have made it into a game.

    Very well said. But I'm always thinking about melee in games like dso. Wouldn't making them very balanced for PVP purposes (so they can beat other classes 50-50 in case of similar character strength) make them OP in PVE? I'm finding DK much easier to PVE comparing to a mage despite struggling in PVP. Is it solvable at all? How does one address the distance gap without giving a class too much power/strength/healing so pve isn't a walk in the park?

    biggest issue with dk is that u want to be both dmg dealears and tanks, yes pvp is a mess atm, but solution is not to give dk more power, and are the dks punching bags? oh yes thats why i lose in 1v1 against them most of the time and some are alomost god like due to huge amount of hp,armor and block,

    Unless the junkkeeper equipped tank fighters (non runners), I have zero issues with DK playing a mage. And I know archers are doing even better. What class do you play?

    Pertinent question. I will break it down into what I do know. DK's need to choose from 3 things to become equivalent.

    1> More Healing, which makes it the same thing as before and encourages a similar gameplay as having lifekeeper.
    Or
    2> More passive Damage, to which many complain.
    Or
    3> A specific skill set which is hard to execute but once executed lowers the enemy hp by a lot helping us to kill enemy in the 2-3 times that we are able to catch enemy. (the charge /groundbreaker/headbutt/smash combo is not working against the problems I mentioned above most of the time due to many reasons such as crit rate nerf, speed nerf, increased def/hp of opponents/ opponents debuffing running,heaing/ too much damage taken already due to passive damage dealers of opponents etc.The current option is not working against running enemies and also against balanced chars of other class simply because the effective damage dealt in face to face melee with good defence builds on both sides is highly disparate.)

    What I definitely would love is the working 3rd option. But something like that would require my suggestion for a dedicated capable and experienced team to do the skill sets for pvp and the balance mechanics.


    What I would want if I cant get 3 is number 2. However as you said, it's true that DK's might seem easier to do pve with than rangers or SW's but after rise in defence of all classes, the only thing that the other classes lack in pve to do efficient farming is a passive healing skill. They have to use too many pots for healing thus they find it un-viable to just go and farm.
    What I would suggest, stealing an idea from another very popular and top ranked game that I played is: Passive skills with dedicated slots and buttons.

    This game had 2 passive skills for all classes which made farming quite enjoyable.

    1> Healing skill for all classes. the amount of healing would depend on the setup but mostly it would enable the player to get adequate enough healing so that they didn't have to use pots everytime. Infact since using the healing skill meant you couldn't use any other skill at that time, not even move about quickly, it meant you would have to heal yourself strategically so that monsters don't pounce on you in the meantime. Also there weren't any pots in that scenario to use. Also there wasn't just 1 healing skill. there was a variety of healing skills to choose from, which I didn't fully explore.

    2> A passive dodge skill. It was just a simple skill, "Dodge", but it would be so incredibly useful in both pve and pvp. It was basically a dodge roll, with controlled direction.

    Whether these skills should be included in PVP is again for DSO team to decide. I don't mind either ways, but I think including these skills for PVE can also solve 2 things:

    1> All classes will have fair skills to do PVE, no one will feel as if he got cheated on the character.
    2> When better AI for monsters was suggested on the forums and twitch, the team had said that would make things too difficult for players. With these 2 skills the AI can also be increased, enabling a pure skill based gameplay in PVE too.

    Well all these are just suggestions. It's definitely is not easy to do but Must be worked upon. That's why I suggested 3-5 months or even more time if required of complete dedication by Team DSO to make things much better in PVP. Please do not try to compromise. Overhaul if required. But please do realize that it is completely wrong at the moment and needs specific expertise combined with player feedback to be fixed.

    Well said Bro, all of the balancing on dk's high OP weapon, TheLifeKeeper is 0.2% reduction on healing... why are they nerfing heal rates? they think dk have more healing.. what is the point of using MWS for healing when u nerfed DK's Dmg?
    of course that is completely useless in pvp. Bring back the old Skill of regen
    using FBC and DH. they are perfect. overall, before R155 Dk was perfect. only new players cried of being unable to kill a highly skilled DK. DK without life keeper seems to useless in pvp. and not all dk can afford a 6k draken weapon.they can just buy dark set or something other to have crit and armor. even with lifekeeper rangers can take some serious dmg with puncture shot. they are highly OP with serial hit. Just they are gods if they have 2,30 att speed.

    Fix DK atleast in R160.

    - A crying.. 5 year experienced DK and SW ;(
