This question is for forum moderators and who ever post official announcements.

Lately, on official announcement, I have been seeing link to Wikipedia to know more about DSO events and other stuffs. My question is--
    1. Do those Wikipedia websites follows the same "terms and conditions "of DSO or Bigpoint?

    2. And is DSO/ bigpoint legally responsible for whatever goes around in that website as DSO moderators has been forwarding customer on those link to know more about the game?

    3. If they doesn't fall under DSO's jurisdiction, is it legal to send customer on those sites?

    I quote our Forum Guidelines

    "Links
Since we carry a certain amount of responsibility in respect to what is and what is not posted online in the forum, we generally forbid the all external links. External links are links which lead to external pages (outside of Bigpoint), not including clan, guild and family pages or forums.

Of course, there are some exceptions, but these must be allowed by Support."

So if you are speaking of just drakensangonline.wikia (not the whole Wikipedia), YES it is allowed by the EN support team, that doesnt mean you can post wiki links on other language forums, ask the moderators there first.

The wiki site you are referencing is a fan site maintained by some great peeps that are also regulars in the forums. It is not BP endorsed, operated, or maintained.

It does however often have more complete information than is available officialy and a great source of information for new and old players alike. It is kept as up to date as possible by those same great peeps and is why many questions posted in the forums are referenced to that site.

Thanks for your Info, so, does it mean EN support team takes full legal responsibility for everything said or written in drakensangonline.wikia or if anything wrong happen to DSO customer while visiting that site?

When gaming administrator or moderator post anything in the forum it is deem official, and follows same dso terms and conditions. That means they take full responsibility of what they say or write.
So, shouldn't it be considered "unethical" of EN support Team to send customer on third party website to look for DSOs information and not take any responsibility if anything goes wrong?

The game and the forums are separated, the forum has its own rules. It would be wise to read them.
We, the moderators, are reading every single post in this forum. If link to any external web site has been posted, by any of the players, we are checking that link first and decide if it is suitable for the forum or not. If the content is inappropriate and breaking the forum rules the links are being removed.
We DO allow links to fan sites, if they are not breaking our rules. Examples are many, one is Drakensang Optimiser and all the guild pages that are posted by the players in the "Guild Introduction" section. All of them are being inspected first, some of them have been forwarded to the DSO team of developers for closer inspection. And they have been labeled as "clean" and legitimate.

We, the moderators, are not under any contract with BP. We are volunteers and most important we are DSO players.
Therefore we don't perceive the players as "customers". They are fellow players to us. Otherwise I would have asked you: are you a customer? How much many have you spent on DSO so I can answer your question.
All players are equal in the forum!

As for your question, it is a moderator's discretion to make steps that s/he believe it is of utmost importance.
In this case we have provided a link to an external fan site, which you are not obligated to visit. We are not making the guides in this forum (except these which are post festum) BP is sending them to us and we are just announcing them. In this case they have not prepared a guide for the upcoming event.
Therefore, we decided to include the link to DSO Wikia because it is reliable, more or less accurate and would do the role of our guide (which we don't have it).
    So you can choose:
    - whether you visit that fan page and get informed about the upcoming event
    - or you don't visit and wait for the official event guide, which will not be ready soon

We decided to let players be informed. That would lessen the questions they would ask here on the forums, and we would not be able to answer them because we have no information.

In case you have objections on the moderator's work you can contact the support.

    Cheers!

A Walkthrough of the event will be provided a week after the official start.
Until then let the inner explorer in you shine through!
The official walkthrough will be published here: Event FAQ

Wiki guide for Curse of the Black Knights - Dragan's Conspiracy

perhaps just add "Unofficial" Wiki guide to clarify any misunderstanding.;)

Maybe a quick look at the "Terms and Rules" section at the bottom of this page could clarify the legal responsibilities:
    Disclaimer
Although every effort is made to present current and accurate information, we cannot assume responsibility for information from external links. The author of each web page is solely responsible for the content of that page.

So I'd guess the moderators are on the safe side here :)

DSO releases information through the Forums. Certainly they have access to every post and its views. The Community Managers have their own page, and say they monitor every post.
There may be no contract as such to the moderators, yet the Terms & Conditions cover the Forums. Certainly Forum costs are not paid by magic.
Moderator titles require an application process, approved by BigPoint?
Volunteers do get perks, don't they?

So, just how independent are moderators and the Forums?
