    Good people of the forum, today I come to you with this I think would be a great idea.​

    World Bosses
    First.
    What is a world boss?:
    • A World Boss would be a monster with very high peak statistics requiring the cooperation of two or more groups (complete sets of 5) that would appear on the main areas, or shared places instead of dungeons (which limits the number of players). These bosses will be designed to be combated by characters at maximum level but the low level can also be close because it would depend on the location where the World Boss appeared.
    Second.
    • These Bosses will not be auto aggressive, attacking only when attacked, because certainly they would appear from Grimford to Lor'Tac and will have a special drop of only extraordinary, legendary and unique´s representative of each area, such as: A world Boss to come out in graveyard of ships would most likely drop a part of the set of depths than any other monster including Gorga.
    Third.
    • These Bosses would appear randomly at any time but with long periods of wait like once every 1-2 months or so or wait during the week, so it would not be so easy to obtain unique items so the game does not lose the challenge to complete the sets, the World Boss could also appear one per server and its appearance last 1-2 days in a similar way to Gnob.
    • Only when you are in the area in which the World Boss appears, a special message that say "World Boss - ???? - has appeared" will appear.
    • These Bosses would be immune to the Blue, Purple and Red essences, to give a major challenge for the rewards.
    Fourth.
    • It would give the hight level players more things to do and get better opportunities and unique items for their characters.
    What do you think?

    Great concept.

    Do you really foresee our DSO, coordinating 10+ people in 1 map, against new monsters for worthwhile prizes, shared fairly?

    Hello and thanks for the reply:), dear @Darwarren my friend, what I foresee is that when this gets implemented in game the people learn like always they do and be able to coordinate 10+ people against one single boss in one map;), also the loot would be distributed fairly and equal to everyone who participated greatly dealing with the boss;), but no loot for those who just do 3-4 attacks and then go "AFK" until everyone has finishedo_O, they will need to participate until the very end if they really want the loot:D.

    DSO should make itself into a good option of a game before 2017. To grow to the next levels, this is one of the ideas they Have to implement. Also instead of just players banging on the boss, make the environment useful and important here too. maybe some sort of avalanche we can cause on the boss by pushing rocks/ or making a ice avalanche. As games progress, playing with the environment would be a crucial factor.

    World boss alone is a good idea.

    Spawn time should be each week.
    A single group will not be able to take it down. Multiple groups (many people) are needed with 2-3 hours of killing.
    You can use any essence you want.
    All players with or whithout group will get a drop, depending on their efforts in the killing.

    Now we dont know what the maximum number of players in an instance is. Might need more coding that the world boss mechanic itself.
    Regarding lags for many players, some games have the option to make other players invisible, only thing visible is their name strings, or players in 2-3 meters radius around you.
    This will greatly increase the playability when 20+ people are in the same place.

    This is a good idea.

    These World boss combats must be very long combats preferably 30-60 minute fights
    and must involve a lot of strategic planning to fight and not just aim and attack.
    Enabling players to utilize the surrounding environment for their advantage would be fun.
    Each class must have incentives around to improvise their attacks like
    Dwarves will be able to build a turret or a stea machine
    DKs can gain strength from beating mini spawns or other small mobs
    Rangers can use the flora and fauna around them and add life to these for a particular time interval
    Mages can gain power from the elements in the combat regions.
    These are all temporary and exhaust soon, so players need to plan well on how to use them efficiently.

    These combats should be programmed such that EACH PLAYER need to deal a minimum threshold damage and must engage actively in the combat or else the World boss's AURA in the battle field will drain that players HP completely and the player gets eliminated out of the combat just like how Mortis courtroom kills every player when soul count hits 1000.
    It can be portrayed that the player couldn't withstand the overwhelming powers of world boss and has been eliminated out of combat ;)
    This is important because Twinks and unworthy players should not recieve rewards just for being in the map.

    Hi,

    Can i give suggestion that create a mini map, just for defeating boss (by flooring). Player who success defeat the boss will be listed in rank, depending dev how to value it. It is better like 100th Floor Boss Tower.

    Condition:

    1. Party mode (3 or 5 players)
    2. Minion must accompany the boss but in wave by wave. Lastly, boss will come out.
    3. After defeat boss, next floor will only open until all player died.
    4. Exp not count on this map to prevent exp farming.
    5. Revival of died player might see others opinion.....@@
    6. Boss in this mini map can use back the dungeon boss, area boss,... just make it harder and harder


    This suggestion might suit just for lvl 35-50 player to test their strength, armor, teamwork, n earn some anderment/ Unique weapon& armor/ gems/ essense/epic mount for top 10 prices for each 2 week period. See how far the player can reach.

    Well, my english not very good. Hope you guys can understand what i suggested.

    Great idea but only for lvl 50 players... don't wanna low lvl twinks to abuse this like they do everything...but money talks so probaby it would be from 1-50.

    I like :cool:
