I've gotten a couple legendary drops and a couple unique drops in the regular lortac maps. But yeah, not enough.

Given what I've heard about Halls of Dead becoming difficult after the latest hot fix to R155, it seems I will need to get gear by PVP purchases and using my lockpicks.

as you mention you are new in these game and it's always good to see new faces, but what you are suggesting is insane, i know (i dont use ranger classes) that a sw and a ranger are too squishy and they need to kill fast from the distance or the mobs will get close and kill them after, same goes for DK which makes me wonder about your 2nd point, if crit (2h) or block (1h) stay low, the only way to "survive" will be via gems,

Players had invested "time" and some of us some money on this game, and by time i dont mean 2-3 months, tell me how would you feel if after 1-3 years of working on a project, someone just took it and throw it away expecting to work all over again from the beginning.

also and i know someone else posted, but i dont remember who, all these movements seems to be a strategy move to make players buy premium,.... (from my point of view that it's true).

    :eek::eek: :mad:

A DK can get by if they have a decent enough 1H weapon and a lot of offweapon damage to commit to heal-dps (ideally 1k+ base damage on average). I am running with moderate health (7.2k, since i lose hp with experience amulet with experience gem) Moderate Armor (just under 3k), moderate block (wolf shield, getting 58% rate and base 50% chance/reduce). But i went 21 points increased weapon damage and 10 points health. With the rage swing + bleeding talent plus mws w/ reheal, i've been able to solo w/ o too much dying. Save your stun breaks and dragon hide 30% heal for the really hairy moments.

Just FYI... the reason some players wear costumes is either because they don't want the other opponent (PvP) to know what equipment they have or because they don't like the look of the items they are wearing. For example, I have a Sargon's Helmut on a female character and it just looks silly. So I figure if I have to look silly, I'll wear my Bunny suit. ;)

Is this the CM Thread? Sure couldn't tell... The last time one of those CMs steped foot in here and addressed the tons of irate players was over a week ago (Monday the 24th). What's wrong? Afraid to admit that your precious developers f-ed up? Afraid to admit that all the people that told you that if you released it as it was on the test server that tons of people would be pissed, were right? So, maybe you should start listening to people like trakilaki, BigPapa, MegaNuker, Bearer-of-Death, Darwarren, and the dozens of others that have told you exactly what your bosses need to do to fix this game. We are not the crazy ones that are asking you to hand us the game on a silver platter. We are the ones who know this game better than even your developers and know how to fix it. We know what true balance is. We know what fun is. We know what makes a game great (And by the way, the game used to be GREAT).

What we lack is the the advocate who will truly stand up for the players. Greg, Haruki, That is supposed to be your job, but you are failing miserably. Instead, you are backing the developers and are trying to rationalize the changes that they implemented that have left the community on the verge of a riot. Stop playing company stooge and start standing up for us. Stop making excuses for you bosses and start telling them just how PISSED off we really are at the developers.

Your upcoming hotfix is a step in the right direction, but it would have been unnecessary if you had just listened to us the first time. If you want to keep that momentum going, fix the glyphs you stole from us on the previously bugged items, give us respectable andermant drops for the effort it takes to kill the monsters, give us a temporary stun immunity after a stun so that we aren't victims to chain stuns, fix the insane upgrade costs for LVL 50 items... I could go on (particularly the little ones that are more a nuisance than a true bug), but if you fix those in your next hotfix, you may actually get a little bit of the respect back that you have lost from the players.

I thought the drop of white items was to decline. Did I miss something? Out of 70 items, 45 were white, 1 was blue and the rest green. This was from the Abyss of Time. And of the white items, maybe 45% were jewelry.

The problem is that salary is often associated with public statements. I can't really blame them for wanting a paycheck more than they want to speak on the community's behalf, but that isn't the model I live by (and I've lost money because of it).

There are many things that I like about the new release.... and many things I don't. The fact that we don't seem to have a voice anymore (ever?) is frustrating...particularly with the new changes. So, to keep this thread on topic.... CM's... are you a spokesperson for BP? Or are you here to relay our concerns/frustrations/issues to BP so they can FIX whatever the issue is? What can we expect as players in a game/users of a product? How do you represent us?

    Thanks in Advance

Admirable Baragain. However; i know that the CM's themselves just think we are "moaning" and will get used to the new system in time. Notice the qoutes!! YES WE KNOW you think we are just moaning. That means other than some minor tweaks and repair work on the numerous bugs, we can't count on them fighting for us. And if they won't advocate for us we have no voice other than our own forum moderators that are screaming behind the scenes for us.

The CM's are listening to the Dev's that spent time in glorious gaming school college, the in house testers that use red ess and completed sets when they sample the Dev's work, and leadership that looks at income and profit as the only success measurements. They are not hearing us even though the information is all here to identify and fix what has gone wrong. Go ahead CM's, I have always been on your side and attempted here in the forum to let order and logic prevail. Even when i disagreed with what you said and how you handled our input. But, knowing now how you feel about our input "moaning" it would take a valid response on your part to regain my loyalty.

How about answering the following so we can know where things stand:

WHAT HAVE YOU RECOGNIZED from all the inputs on the forums as problems that need to be addresses. And I'm not talking about bugs. I don't even care that you tell us what you are doing toaddress them. Just that you recognize what is wrong. Damage mitigation is inadequate, PVP is broke: you took away colored ess then countered it with current 1 hit kill model, Defense of characters is broke, Block Strength is malfunctioning, etc etc etc. Again, I know you want to give answers/solutions but at this point just tell us you recognize the problem. We can all work on how to fix it then.

WHAT WILL YOU DO ABOUT THE ANDERMENT that took months to farm and or was purchased with cash that was taken away by bad programming. Go ahead adjust the rate per level cost on items, no matter, but do you at least acknowledge that taking things away that we earned is a problem.

If you won't tell us you recognize the problems at least be honest with us and tell us what the goal was of this major game change. It wasn't an expansion it was REGRESSION155. In my mind R155 will always mean that.

Just made my 1h damage 3300 at 2.02 speed) glass canon, but my mage would be 1 hit whatever I do, with 4k armor, insane block, doesn't matter. And you know what this game now looks like? They made it quake 2/3, archers with railgun and mages with rocket launchers) both take 98% hp, if no crit, of course. Maybe it is the way they see this game))). All mobs die like a paper, all maps and blackborg. Q3 is solo-impossible even with such a damage.

Now I could easily see 1h damage be 4k max, with right items... that is insane. I hate this release. Even though there are areas where you did a great job.

Upd. Ah, today for the first time I realized there is no more 4sec stun immunity. What a shame. Former Dev team added that for a reason. It seems that current Dev team does not get it at all.

Yeah PvP is horrible as of this release. People are very reluctant to destroy their balanced builds inorder to boost crit up to an acceptable level since the nerf. Currently it's either frustrating due to lack of critical hits or feels ridiculous due to dealing and receiving insane damage.
I'd suggest reducing the Wisdom damage/25 talent to 1 point = 1.5% dmg.
Also make the 50% weapon damage/-10% speed talent PvE only.

Pre-release I assumed that the crit nerf would benefit PvP since there would be LESS one hitting and the skill level of players would begin to show more. Instead, the avenue for ridiculous amounts of damage was provided and now this is the end product.

In this state PvP has lost a lot of its appeal, which was the driving force of many players investment into the game (money&time). Fixing this is absolutely critical for this game to survive.

CM's please relay a concern for HF2 R155. I appreciate the additional HP; I was happy to see it because it allowed me to reduce knowledge points for HP and increase Dmg to keep the level of HP im comfortable so thank you for doing it but it was the wrong attribute to correct.

HP% it is not what was needed. The problem is damage mitigation. What is needed is a way to reduce the damage taken, not to be capable of taking a little bit more. The ratio of damage to damage mitigation is way out of wack right now. When a mob is hitting me for 3k or an SW in pvp hits me for 8k, the additional 300 hp I got from this fix is marginal. I have 2000+ resistance now. I changed it because the new mob's utilize a greater number elemtal attacks. Mission accomplished you say, he had to reduce hp and damage to get more resists you say. No I didnt, read on. Anyone that has fought Balor, knows at present there is no way to live through his breath weapon other than to avoid it. That is because it would be impractical to get resists that high. So, if you want mobs and toons to do that much damage we have to have a way of living through it. Since we don't what you are seeing is an uncontrolled race for more damage.

So, what people are doing is taking a more damage faster approach to kill mobs before they can hit us with anything painful. This has turned the new maps into1 skill maps--keep shooting main skill till its all dead not much need for true tactics or skill rotation. By raising HP you allow us to make this worse by diverting HP to damage through the knowledge tree.

Because I know you think we are just "moaning" Ill force the issue for you. I'll point out to everyone the problem you've created with this extremely unbalanced dmg/dmg mitigation and exacerbated by raising HP by giving just two of several Modifications to their build that can be made.

A sacred Amethyst is now equiv to a sacred Ruby until your HP setting in Knowledge is zero.
A polished sapphire is now equiv to a Royal Ruby until your spd setting in Knowledge is zero.

    Enjoy;)

There used to be an old adage, "The squeaky wheel gets the grease." It was from the days of wooden wheels on wagons. If a wheel squeaked, it lacked lubrication, and friction was wearing out the parts where they connected. If you didn't fix the friction, the parts would wear out and break. Then the wagon was useless to carry your load.
"The squeaky wheel gets the grease" was a reminder to the wise to prevent problems while they could.

Times is wasting. Need we say more?

    Hello there everybody,

first of all, our apologies for leaving these threads a little bit "unattended" during these days. It has been quite busy for the both of us between the release day and the two hotfixes plus we wanted to read what you guys have to comment in a group (as you have been doing) before stepping in and offer some official answers. Also, please bear in mind that answering here on the forums is just one of our multiple daily duties. We try to keep the conversations flowing both sides as quickly as we can. Bear with us if we do not appear here for a few days. We are still reading you.

Since there have been a lot of questions and some of them have been answered (or solved) by the deployment of the two hotfixes, I will gather all the messages that jump stronger to my eyes - if you have formulated a question and I do not refer to it, do not take it personally, just be kind and copy paste it again here.

    Off we go!

    About the Dragonknight
The game design team is reading your comments, observing internal statistics and behavior of DK in PvP and in PvE. As we have communicated, they will keep on observing these facts, which are already fueling up internal conversations. In a future Twitch session (next week) we want to have two of them answering your questions. They will comment on the DK as well, I am sure of that.

Hey there silverseas, thanks a lot for this piece of constructive feedback! You are completely right about graphics and illustrations: an image is worth more than a thousand words. We will keep this into mind when communicating certain type of information in these boards or across our social media. About the Twitch agenda: yes, that was also us, and the idea was precisely to convey the "do-not-miss-out" information in a very straight way. We are constantly thinking in how to improve the Twitch channel. We would like to go for shorter and more informative sessions. We shall see how that goes.

About items and levels: during the PW rework the monsters will drop the "appropriately-leveled items", as you call it. However, this situation will stay like that in the normal content, outside of PW.

About the reasoning behind the changes to the crit equation - in light of all the complains and comments that this issue has generated, we will also ask this directly to our game designers during the Twitch session.

The purpose of this thread is to have a closer contact with those members of the community who have something to say. I am sorry if the level of answers or the speed do not satisfy you but we are doing what we can to address the community not only across this particular thread but our social media as a whole. The reason why we have not said anything is because we wanted to let you guys speak and discuss, and see things in perspective, then forward them to the team for review. And no, we do not want to see the DSO veterans going away/quit from the game.

I would say is still rather far-fetched, to be perfectly honest with you. Again, we are examining internal stats and data from the game to actually gather the complementary side of the coin to the forum feedback. And this does not happen in one week. Do not get me wrong here. I appreciate the level of insight that some of you guys are pouring here. I mean the team also wants to observe the game objectively in a number of aspects, apart from reading these boards, before deciding for further balancing/changing in this direction or in the other.

Hey there! I am not sure if you are aware of the scope of the CM tasks or the level of involvement that we have or don't during the production of features. Long story short: we ensure that the feedback is always reachable to the different teams, pinpointing them into the general mood and big lines of thought/critic/praise/suggestions/discontent/success. In this particular period of time (time before Rel155, official launch, hotfixes, and all the road to 156 and beyond) we are coordinating all the national feedback into different feedback sheets with the help of the moderators (thanks, guys!) and also pinpoint the designers into the right threads for juicy and constructive feedback: where to find the most interesting opinions, where are the critics concentrating, etc. At the same time, the team decides on what they think it's best for the general balance and feel of the game and even when they have applied a change to the mechanics or feel of the game, they monitor how this affects the game by watching different internal indicators. They are professionals that care about improving the game for everyone, step by step. They own that agency.

We have always said that we are reading and we are also observing. This has not changed. As I said, there are a number of topics under observation and if the team deems it necessary, further changes will arrive to the game.

Hello there, we are not preparing that list atm but we are making some item banners that we will start publishing on our Facebook page. However, a list of uniques is not something we are against. So stay tuned.

@lewcar and @Vazful and the others who entered into those suggestion discussions: thanks for keeping it civil and constructive. We will forward those messages to our game designers so they can have a look at them.

We are taking care of PW. They were quite OP for a while, true, but Hotfix #2 tackled that.
Well, there is indeed legendary drops in PW. If there is a change in the drop rate for those lands, we will let you know.

Afraid of what? That escalated quickly. No, we are not afraid in that respect. I am sorry if our silence was interpreted as such; silence does not mean that we are not hammering down our keyboards internally in emails and other forms of internal communication, or in meetings. It's always problematic. We would like to be here more often but the workflows are quite huge at the moment. A couple of comments about your post, by the way:

--Andermant drops: this is also going to be tackled in the near future. Expect more adequate drop rates for monsters that are either your level or higher; monsters which are lower will drop less. This will affect both PW and normal world. I would like to give you an ETA of this and we will do it as soon as we have it.
--Glyphs issue: I have written to the team to have an official statement about this particular topic as soon as possible.

And hey, Greg and me are working hard on this. It is probably not perfect, I will give you that.
There is always room for improvement and we are certainly not conformists in that respect, we keep on learning. Of course you are entitled to your own opinion about the whole matter but please do not allot us with assumptions about the extent of the CM duties and our thoughts towards you because they are far from being the truth, in all honesty.

    ---

Quick full stop and end of paragraph.
Expect some more answers tomorrow, since I am running out of time. See you then!

    ++ TWITCH ANNOUNCEMENT ++

As I have already mentioned, we will have two game designers in our next big Twitch session (11th of September, so, next week on Friday). I will make sure they read your latest comments since the release and offer their view/official statements on latest changes and game features that are being discussed in here. We will ran a specific "post your question" type of thing on Facebook so stay tuned for that as well!

so the result of that is that nothing will get sorted until 11th when the designers will hope that everyone complaining has gone away by then? and when they hear all the complaints they might say yeah we can look at that in the next hotfix, so all in all nothing will be fixed for a couple of weeks at least? just as well im away on holiday, hopefully it will be fixed when im back and I can they play again
