Not available. My suggestion would be to level up to 45 and farm map2 in a group if you need gems.

Gem drops are not level restricted like coin and ander so, low level maps is the place to go for gems. Anyplace you can kill lots of stuff fast so you get more RNG rolls.

Ah, but higher level areas have higher drop rates. Now how would I know that?

I'm not advocating the Bots that plagued the game this time last year, but they did provide one useful service. The bot automatically tracked all their drops even when the bot was not actively playing for the player and reported it to a website (that went down on or around the beginning of December). That let you see where the drops were best, and generally, higher level areas had higher chances for gems.

:p that's awesome. I've always put myself in the lower areas to farm those type of items on the thought that even though you get more gems or whatever per kill on average in the higher areas, the sheer speed at which you can kill the lower level mobs surpasses the better drop rate. If I can kill things 10 times as fast, the drop rate would have to be 10 times higher in those higher level areas to break even. And I can watch the ballgame in the lower areas:) That at least has been my philosophy with only perception to back it up. Now I learn there is a history logged somewhere that we can no longer access lol. OH well:(

Systematic observation and testing reached the same conclusion.

I have found there are places I tend to get gems more but others don't. My suggestion is to farm for something else and let gems be icing on the cake.

I agree with this, if I farm hereder and clear his crypt I always walk away with some gems.
Gems drop like rain for me, I am well happy with gem drop rates.
I agree with bigpapa low lvl fast farm for gems. heredur has a bonus of a unique that gives 4k glyph's I got 2 in a row today farming for gems. I seem to find lots of big gems in Atlantis above water, Simple and normal from time to time. I have never seen or known of Polished or higher being dropped but if any one knows of any where that happens please tell me :)

I've seen polished gems fall from high level, parallel world, end bosses. That lasted not more than a week or so, and someone fixed it. It probably was a temporary thing, part of some hidden promotion or release roll-out.

2 players told me the got a radiant there too, but they aren't the most reliable. Lots of players will jerk your chain at every opportunity. LOL

Dammmm, polished gems. I think the best I've found as a drop is a simple gem.

Polished gem drops. That definitely must have been a bug. AFAIK, only the tier one-lower-than-polished drops now. (Ruby, Sapphire, Onyx... the ones with the plain name, no adjective.) I felt privileged when I had a run of good luck and got two rubies, or two sapphires, in the same game session.
