Awwww, now i got my feelings hurt. I'll stay out of the OP part of this since its useless all around. I think most of us though realize the value of teamwork and the necessity of it for Mortis. But, I hardly think the role DPS has been asked to play on a normal Mortis run could be considered as leeching. Yes some with toons still being developed can't sustain the damage needed to even kill souls consistantly, but when I constantly pull agro from even good tanks and end up having to switch gear so I can do the tanking, I don't consider the DK to be a Leech even though he's not playing his assigned role. TEAMWORK means I take the hits and throw on more armor if I need to.

On mortis ?? very often. See for the vids on you tube yourself. RA and SW using blue while the DK probably need to use red. Mortis is a very unfair boss in that regard.

Yea, increase the HP of the souls 2-3 times and force the damage dealers to use reds too and there would be all sorts of complaining... but it wouldn't effect a DK who could solo Mortis anyway, so the only people who it would effect is the damage dealers. How does that sound for balancing Mortis?

 

Unless all agree to use blues ahead of time this is an integrity issue.

It's sad to think that group members use blues because they can get away with it and their only job is to kill souls. I and the people I run with routinely use purple and red because we can kill souls faster and get shots in on Mortis in between. The tank positions Mortis so the the two dps on the right side can kill souls and arrows follow through to hit Mortis. If I were to take the easy way out I would kill the souls without ess and load blue up for the knights. Sounds like this is a people problem more than anything else.

Maybe when they merge servers, Bigmomma and DrHorrible can take care of business knowing they can depend on each other to always put their best effort in.

 

I don't mind tanking and the support using blues... as long as they do their job, they can use greens for all I care!

Personally, I've gotten to the point I don't need purples or reds anymore unless I'm trying to go fast. I have blues aplenty and it makes me feel a little less taken advantage of. I even insist that I go in and solo Skeladragon because I use less ess that way, it is faster, and no one dies making me or someone else on my team use ander for a res or res stone.

Looking at the range of the damage, it looks like the New Moon set for that build.

 

To sum things up: Yes, DKs are indeed OP in PVE (most likely because they get 40% increased dmg from talent which is just freaking ridiculous). I welcome anyone to disprove it. Show me a ranger that can do what he just did He doesn't need that godly sword to solo it. A decent one and he can beat the crap out of mortis as well. Oh, and for those people who still believe longbows= 2h sword, please learn how to do math. However, we already know the devs won't do a crap about it. Giving DK so much life steal and regen with crazy stats just makes end game DK ridiculous. IMO, classes are pretty balanced until endgame when DKs' power sky rocket.

That 2h the DK found is 1 out of millions. His stats are so insane, he made every other 2h DK out there look weak compared to. This is stats you probably won't see every again before level 50 content gets released. Overall I won't disagree. The power end-game DK's can reach with luck & some money now is crazy! Sometimes I wonder if those high-payers we have in DSO are just dump so they don't know how to make an immortal DK in PvP or if they just are unlucky as hell lol. Cause really. Every player that would deny you can make an immortal DK if you want with some good cash spent for (jester gems etc) they simply just don't know what's up in DSO.

 

As I ALREADY MENTIONED, you don't need THAT weapon to be SUPER OP. Take a look at other OP 2h DKs all over youtube or on forum.

I wonder why I never see another class? Also, in this video, he is using pve set. In pvp, he should have different stats. One main problem is BP suddenly decided 2h DK swords should turn 1.05 base speed at level 45. Another would be the freaking high stats and talent tree. As you pointed out, there are many DKs who are strong but just suck because of their skill. I seriously find it amusing how most people who spend a ton as DKs have bad skills. Well, not even active on draken now because of updates and stupidly low crit value stats that just turns the game even dumber.

 

True true, but the DK you show there is weak compared to. Priap found a 2h giving 816 damage per sec level 47 (WITHOUT GEMS), with gems 1200+. It does not require a lot to get a strong DK sure, but when you look on Priap's stats remember, nobody is at the same level as him 2h stats wise. Not only do that DK you show screen of only have 2557 max, but as well only 225% crit dmg - Priap 3900 with 313% crit dmg, the difference is huge. That's my point. You're right, easy to get decent 2h DK, but almost close to zero to get a DK like Priap's unless your extremely lucky.

Won't disagree the fact DK's been OP, cause when the devs increased the enchantments stats, they did not only give every class Ranger -Stream (blah) -Mage an possibility to get stronger, but they gave the DK's a HUGE possibility to get EVEN stronger then them. As you mentioned cause of the 40% increased damage with 2h, the increased enchantments became even more worth for the DK's side, but again as you mentioned.. The devs don't give a **** and they never will. Complaining won't get you far. Many DK's love to be this OP compared to other class's and love to spend huge amount of cash into their DK. Now they probably be a bit mad if they got nerfed. By this I could mention a lot of HIGH, I mean really HIGH-payer DK's out there that probably would instantly quit DSO if so.

& what those BP love? Money bro. Is all about the money, been over 1 month and they can't get their **** server to run stable.
Overall let's just say. Give up complaining/reporting aka help/suggestions, cause the devs of this game honestly don't give a you know about us the players.

 

What about all the really HIGH-payer rangers that are already thinking about quitting? Either way no matter who quits BigPoint will lose money. What this game and any good RPG game need is class balance to make EVERYONE happy.

 

I think Daywaker2 out-PAYED all the high-payer rangers in this game all together lool. Anyways that's besides the point. I agree with the balance thing, but also not saying it should not be balanced. I just tell you and the other peeps that your complaining about the DK won't get you far. I am DK myself and not trying to defend myself like other jerks would do, cause I wish balance as well. Overall I just wish these gorillas (cause of brain size) devs to improve everything they do at the moment.

Improve game quality (remove server-lag etc), improve their team (cause number 1 excuse for bugs etc is that they ain't enough) Improve PERMANENTLY banning heavy bug-abusers (cause Ricktalrok mentioned they did this, but since the Dragan set bug - 1 million damage bug - legendary chest bug) I do not believe in their talk anymore etc etc, could go on, but for no reason.

Drakensang Online is an amazing game with amazing potential, but it's ran by fools, doing foolish things, focusing on foolish things.
Overall I agree with you, but sorry to tell you it never will be like that in DSO.

 

We have threads on Dragonknights being overpowered. We have threads on Spellweavers being overpowered. We have threads on Rangers being overpowered. Heck, we even have threads on it being unfair that a Steam Mechanicus can steal flags with impunity. Let's face it, with few exceptions, there is some character somewhere that is stronger, faster, and has better equipment than someone else.

In this case, I think we get to watch, and enjoy, someone beating the tar out of Mortis. Enjoy it and be happy that someone has been as lucky, worked as hard or payed as much (however he got there) as p€rRµ$h has. That was an enjoyable video and I hope to have a toon like that in my group...even if it isn't me.

 

So the bottom line is that there are still a lot that can be done about class balance. But whether the DSO staff will actually do anything about it is the question. Ultimately, its their game and only they can decide the fate of DSO.

 

Or it is mostly fine right now. I mean, if every class is seen as overpowered, then they are all balanced.

 

Of course you DKs want to say everything is balanced and don't want to change even in the face of irrefutable evidence. All of the other talks about SWs and Rangers being overpowered is just noob talk without real evidence. I don't know how many times I have seen "rangers are OP because their mark does 2x damage".
